Solo riders will receive a timing chip with their number assigned to it (keep this chip on your ankle the entire race).
Each team will receive a timing chip with their team number assigned to it (teams will have 1 chip and it will serve as a "baton"). Your team is responsible for keeping up with this the entire 24 hours. If at any time you come into the transition area without the timing chip your team will be penalized one lap. You must show the recorders your timing chip each time you come in and out of the transition area (we will also be doing manual backup with timing – we will need to see your race plate to record your number).
We will hand the “timing chips" out at the registration table and will collect them back at the end of the race... if for some reason you are unable to finish the race or your team stops before the 24 hour time you will need to turn your timing chip back into the registration / timing tent… THERE IS A $35.00 CHARGE FOR ANY CHIP THAT IS LOST OR NOT RETURNED.
